Classic Sicilian Rice Balls at Luce

Rice balls stuffed with cheese and ground beef and then dredged in flour, egg, and breadcrumbs before being gently fried and sprinkled with shaved Pecorino (sheep’s milk cheese).

In Italy they are called, arancini, meaning little oranges, a classic dish of Sicily, served in the best restaurants but also sold by street vendors in the Palermo markets.
